BIS/CUIT BY CARLA SANTIAGO
BIS / CUIT is a new Portuguese brand, specializing in design and production of items for home decor and pottery, established in 2010 by designer Carla Santiago.
The collections embrace different influences from various creative fields such as art, fashion, design, food and music.
For Autumn/Winter 2010 Carla Santiago launched two differents tablewares:
The PATTERNED FACE inspired by computer graphics and fashion photography
and The PATTERNED SMILE inspired by computer graphics and digital prints.
Tableware includes:
A shallow dish, 27 cm diam.
A soup plate 19.5 cm-diam.
A saucer -21 cm diam.
Collection is also available in sets of 4 / 6 pieces of each size.
Industrial designer Carla Santiago is working mainly in ceramics. She complete the Course of Industrial Design in Madrid, at the Istituto Europeo di Design. During the course, Carla Santiago was an assistant at the studio of Marre Moerel, which produced molds for some of the most iconic objects of this Dutch designer based in Madrid.
In 2008 she received the 1st prize of the Kickoff New Designers-Continent with her tableware “Dondo”.
Currently she realizes her greatest dream, and created her own label BIS/CUIT, produced and manufactured in Portugal.
