FEIRA LAICA 25-26 JUN: INDEPENDENT PUBLISHERS FAIR, LISBON
Lisbon’s 18th “Feira Laica” independent publishers fair invites all music, book, magazine and art & design fans to a series of exhibitions and concerts set up between three main venues across Lisbon: the Bedeteca de Lisboa and the Trem Azul Jazz Store and Materia-Prima Store in Bairro Alto.
The exhibition of Portuguese “New Talent” illustrators will take place in the Bedeteca de Lisboa between 25th June and 29th July featuring work by Filipe Felizardo, Lucas Almeida, Ricardo Martins, Margarida Borges, Lucas Barbosa, Rudolfo, André Coelho, Sílvia Rodrigues, David Campos, Uganda Lebre, José Smith and Afonso Ferreira. This venue will also hold film screenings from the DIY International Film project and a special Mini-Laica fair for children this weekend.
Special guests N.E.U.R.O., the Romanian graphic artist living in Copenhagen whose first book will soon be published by MMMNNNRRRG ,will be exhibiting work in the Trem Azul Jazz Store from 25th June to 30th July as part of the Feira Laica programme.
Meanwhile, in the Materia-Prima store there will be the exhibition of Hecatombe, a group of four graphic artists who will present some of their illustrations and prints between 24th June and 6th July.

Saturday 25th June sees the Saturday Thisco Soundsystem party in the auditorium of Bedeteca de Lisboa between 6 and 8pm with M-Pex and Thermidor vs Euthymia. 3 Euros entry.
In Trem Azul, Bairro Alto from 10pm there will be the ‘Festa Laica’ with Somalia and Çuta Kebab & Party (who are launching their 10” vinyl thanks to Chili ComCarne and Faca Monstro). 3 Euros entry.
The concert on Sunday 26th June will take place in the garden of the Bedeteca de Lisboa from 6pm with the performance of poetry set to music by Nuno Moura combined with the Dub of Ghuna X and R-, discovered during the Chili ComCarne tour last year.
