From Gonçalo Peixoto´s “pure” face to the “multicolour” eybrows from Lidija Kolovrat, Antonia Rosa created them all. She is ZOOT´s beauty editor and is also leading the beauty team at ModaLisboa since nearly 30 years. For the SS24 season Antonia created several destinctive looks for the Portuguese designers — here we want to introduce five main beauty concepts.
As the lead makeup artist of ModaLisboa, every season Antonia is meeting with the designers beforehand, listening to their inspiration and is turning their vision of beauty into key makeup looks for their collections.
About this photoshoot she is explaining: “I wanted to reinterpret the makeup I did backstage for several fashion designers: Gonçalo Peixoto, Nuno Baltazar, Lidija Kolovrat, Valentim Quaresma and Luís Carvalho.”
Antonia teamed up with experienced studio photographer Nuno Beja to capture the essence and the details of five key makeup looks and invited model Joana Morais from Elite to be the canvas. We met Joana backstage ModaLisboa at many shows this season and her natural beauty captures the essence of what Antonia thought important for this season:
Based on the original idea for the SS24 fashion shows, I went to the studio with photographer Nuno Beja and model Joana Morais to revisit the looks with my most artistic interpretation. For me, the skin was the most important thing in this edition of ModaLisboa, which consisted mainly of no make-up and just beautifying and hydrating the already well prepped skin. The mannequins are chosen not only for the beauty they can have, but also because of their daily skin routine, the nutrition and the sports they practice.

The girl from next door
Deep hydration & no makeup for Gonçalo Peixoto.
To create this glossy healthy look I used Clarins´ Cryo Flash Cream Mask to deeply hydrate the skin and add an extra glow for the runway.
Sophisticated in red
Fresh skin with freckles & redlips with a twist for Nuno Baltazar.
This intense red was created with Clarins´ Jolie Rouge Satin Lipstick, The colour is extra soft and smooth on the lips and adds a luxurious rich “satin-like” volume. In addition I love that the lipstick is rechargeable and lasts long.
The wear and tear of dictatorships
Eyebrows upright & vivid colours for Lidija Kolovrat.
For the eyebrowes from Lidija I was working with the colour pallette I created this summer in collaboration with Rowe beauty: Artist Palette | Rowe X Antonia Rosa Rainbow Colors. It can be applied on the skin like a tatoo or stencil but also used in many different ways, as I did here on the eyebrows.
Futuristic warrior woman
Back eyes & glossy lips for Valentim Quaresma.
For the deep black around the eyes I used Clarins´s Ombre 4 Colour, onyx gradation. This new eyeshadow has an integrated fixing base, is ultra-pigmented and enriched with bamboo powder and vitamin E. I love it because the texture lasts long and looks smooth for many hours.
Freshness reinvented
Green eyeliner & glowing cheeks for Luis Carvalho.
The fresh green eyliner was created with the blue, mint and light green of the Artist Palette | Rowe X Antonia Rosa, Summer Colors. I blended the colours, it´s something I really like to do achieve a unique look.
