With grace and poise, the “Alma” (in English “Soul”) FW 23/24 collection takes center stage, drawing inspiration from the profound depths of the human spirit. Creative visionary Carlos Gil, based with his Atelier in Fundão, a small mediveal city close to Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela, was born in the late 60s in Nampula, Mozambique. His dream of capturing beauty in many different ways is reflected in the current collection.

Carlos Gil’s latest collection seeks to encapsulate the intangible, delving into the realms of identity, personality, consciousness, and spiritual existence. The pieces reflect a journey of 25 years of this criative’s career, encapsulating moments of transformation that have shaped his identity. With a blend of determination and elegance, the Carlos Gil woman emerges as a powerful and positive force. The collection showcases structured silhouettes that mirror the freedom synonymous with the concept of ALMA itself.
A unique floral pattern, meticulously crafted by Carlos, is at the heart of the ALMA collection. Luxurious materials such as cashmere, silk, recycled polyester, waterproof fabrics, shiny sequins and quilted textures come together in a harmonious picture of greens, pinks, yellows, blacks, reds and purples. This eclectic palette mirrors the myriad emotions and facets of the human soul and aims to evoke the intricate, ethereal, and timeless essence of it.
