New York based photographer, and contributor to ZOOT Magazine, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, has begun his latest project using the Kickstarter creative funding platform to raise money for the production of a new art book…
The book, which has been provisionally named “Studio Work”, will be a 200 page collection of photography, including portraits, nudes, still-lifes and studio images, documenting his year-long position as Artist-in-Residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem NY. Now into the second week of his Kickstarter campaign and Paul has already reached 50% of his target amount, which is to raise $20,000 by 12th July 2011…
This funding will make possible the production design, editing, proofing, publication and promotion of the book which is set for release in Spring 2012. As a reward for the precious donations that he receives Paul is giving away signed prints, postcards and unique artworks ranging from $1 to up to $5000, to his supporters. Furthermore, as an extra thank you for helping his fund raiser progress so quickly Paul has added a further two prints to the reward options for donations of over $40.
