BACKSTAGE AT THE MANGO "GLAM ROCK" CATWALK, PARIS
Mango’s Autumn/Winter collection is taking on a bright and shiny Glam Rock theme this year, sticking to a luxury palette of gold, black and red and featuring endless amounts of sparkle, ruffles and studs.
Materials range from leather-look denim to wet-look chiffon and the accessories pieces provide a wide selection of glamorous essentials, including clutches, caps, jewellery and shoes to add to the perfect rock star image. The Autumn/Winter 2011 fashion show took place at the Centre Pompidou in Paris on an edgey silver tunnelled catwalk, also working as a harmonious backdrop for the premiere of the “Great Escape” video by Terry Richardson with Kate Moss for MANGO. The collection has a strong eveningwear focus yet remains adaptable and creative, paying homage to such iconic Glam Rock figures as the legendary David Bowie or the ethereal Alison Goldfrapp.
