SAT 21ST MAY: BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS FOR 'CARPE DIEM ARTE E PESQUISA'
This weekend, Lisbon’s renowned art gallery ‘Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa’ celbrates its 2nd birthday with a unique celebration in honour of it’s mentor and founder, Paulo Reis.
The event coincides with the last day of current exhibitions, providing the final opportunity to see the works of Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Ramiro Guerreiro, Gabriella Machado, Flavio Cerqueira and the German collective (see previous ZOOT report).
Between 5pm and 7.30pm the gallery will hold a presentation with the Coro Paradoxal (Paradoxical Choir), a group founded by musical genius Luis Bragança Gil that focuses on alternative performances which surprise and inspire all music lovers. During this time at the Carpe Diem party the Choir will lead a tour throughout the different rooms of the palace while providing a unique musical backdrop.
From 6.30pm Carpe Diem invite one and all to enjoy a glass of wine in the Gallery’s garden, whilst throughout the whole day the Carpe Diem Library will be holding a special sale, offering various coupons and gifts to their customers when purchasing books.
