Berlin fashion label Reality Studio, by designer Svenja Specht, was founded in 2005 and has now had success showing in both Paris and New York, while collaborating on projects with artists such as Jen Ray and Michael Kalki, as well as collaborating with Onitsuka Tiger/Asics to create limited edition sneaker designs (more of which will be released in July and December 2011):
The new Reality Studio collection for Autumn/Winter 2011/12 was named after the album ‘Codona’ from Don Cherry and his colleagues Collin Walcott and Nana Vasconcelos, originating from the Japanese words for adult (Otona) and child (Codomo). The collection is inspired by the characteristics of adults who have a preserved curiosity for things, without prejudice and with the playfulness of a child…
Pieces are playful and comfortable with exciting shapes and colours, while remaining grown up and completely fashionable at the same time. The designs are customizable and can be worn in a variety of combinations to suit individual taste with a stylish and unique feel.
