BACKSTAGE ADA ZANDITON AT KIEV FASHION DAYS
London-based designer Ada Zanditon recently presented her Autumn/Winter 2011 collection at the increasingly popular Kiev Fashion Days in Ukraine. Zanditon previously worked for Alexander McQueen, Jonathan Saunders and Gareth Pugh before setting up her label which now features at London Fashion Week and has stockists across Europe and America with a strong success from private commissions too.
The A/W collection entitled ‘The Cryoflux’ showcased Zanditon’s unique and space age themed illustrations or prints on a variety of sculptural, innovative dresses which feature combinations of black or colour-fade transparent chiffon and imaginatively folded cotton and silk panels. This young designer focuses her collection around ethical fashion using organic and eco fabrics along with sustainable techniques such as vegetable tanned leather…
This effortlessly sexy collection seems perfectly ready-to-wear yet remains creative and daring with geometrically sculptured jackets including extravagant quilting techniques and loud prints which are classic to the Zanditon style.
