COCO MADEMOISELLE BY CHANEL
The COCO MADEMOISELLE fragrance, originally created back in 2001 by Chanel master perfumer Jacques Polge, recently arrived at the Zoot office in a classically luxurious Chanel bag tied with sleek black ribbon holding not only the eau de parfum fragrance but also a small shining cardboard package which unfolded to reveal a soft black Chanel pouch containing a special edition Coco Mademoiselle necklace based on the extremely sexy spokesmodel of the brand, Keira Knightley.
The fragrance itself is sexy and fresh with Oriental base notes of mint flower, ylang-ylang, Bourbon vanilla and white musk combined with distinctive top notes of bergamot, mandarin and Tunisian curaçao. The scent provides the perfect combination of classicism and luxury with a distinct seductive aroma which remains in no way overpowering.
The new Chanel advertising film (below) starring Knightley as a young irrepressible Coco Chanel was directed by the legendary Joe Wright who previously worked with the actress on the films Atonement and Oscar-nominated Pride & Prejudice. The short film features the soulful voice of singer Joss Stone with a cover of “It’s a Man’s World” by James Brown as Knightly cruises the urban streets of Paris on a beige motorcycle dressed in a matching leather jumpsuit designed for her by Karl Lagerfeld. Both the fragrance and its new campaign perfectly reflect the daring, sensual and iconic spirit of Coco Chanel…
