VITALIY PAVLISHYN AT KIEV FASHION DAYS
Ukrainian designer Vitaliy Pavlishyn is well known throughout the Ukraine fashion industry, having his name connected with three distinct brands: “Tricotage”, “ECLAIR” and the luxury brand “Pavlishyn for ECLAIR”.
His latest Autumn/Winter 2011 catwalk collection was showcased on Day 2 of Kiev Fashion Days including a strong menswear section with a variety of mottled, metallic, scrunched and shiny materials on structured silhouettes with coloured inserts, elasticated cuffs and hugely oversized pockets or stand-up collars. The basic colour palette was of brown and mottled greys with protruding pieces; from socks to blouses, in glittering green, gold, silver, blue and vermilion red, as well as a full tartan suit in deep purple tones. Metallic socks protruded from beneath turned-up trouser legs while gold chains were added for extra urban glamour effect.
The general feel of the collection was one of oversized modernist construction with added futuristic enchantment from the deep shining colour tones, voluminous padded jackets and wrinkled metal-look pieces.
