MODALISBOA DAY 3: BACKSTAGE RICARDO ANDREZ A/W 11

The Ricardo Andrez menswear collection was deeply inspired by the world of fable storytelling and how these ancient stories are able to mix entertainment with moral teaching. This theme runs through each of the pieces merging the real and imaginary worlds, combining an urban city vibe with that of natural forest, blending the adult with the infantile.

Small wooden cubes were sewn onto clothing in distinct asymmetric patterns and there featured large gold zips and psychedelic print throughout the collection, showcasing mixtures of knitwear or cotton with glossy leather in dusted tones of grey-purple or brown-gold.

Models were given a dirty or dishevelled look and the outfits combined smart and sporty styles with both natural and modern materials, creating a unique look which represents the mixing of fabled cosmic and natural worlds.
