MODALISBOA DAY 2: BACKSTAGE LUIS BUCHINHO A/W 11
Day 2 started with a beautiful show from Luis Buchinho presenting his Autumn/Winter collection which saw its début at Paris Fashion Week last week. The collection toyed with directional lines using diagonal cuts and horizontal or vertical stripes on a selection of chiffon and woollen combinations. The primarily monochrome colour range captivated interest by featuring unique patterns that reflected soft animal prints such as alligator and snake skins.
Detailing included zip trims which helped to exaggerate the slanted cut-outs in tops and dresses or to adorn the cuffs on long sleeve jackets. The collection featured thick long-length coats with folded layers in bold red and black tones along with shorter dresses and a complete ‘jump-suit’ outfit of soft brown knitwear.
The collection captured a natural to wild vibe showcasing leather and wool with long crimped fur amongst the shadow of zebra stripes and alligator skin patterning.
