MODALISBOA DAY 1: BACKSTAGE RICARDO PRETO A/W 11
Ricardo Preto opened this year’s ModaLisboa with a feminine and sexy look for Autumn/Winter 2011. The collection featured a colourful mix of accessories such as purple and pink leather gloves, print scarves, slim tan waist-belts, delicate long gold necklaces and the classic black fedora-style hat which is seeming popular for the upcoming autumnal season…
The collection showcases colourful mustard yellow and burnt orange knitwear along with transparent blouses and floor-length all-in-one pieces featuring revealing slits up the thigh or low-cut back panels, and sweetly embroidered shorter dresses with fur detail coming from beneath the hem or collar.
The collection provides a variety of looks and materials with a heavy focus on knitwear combinations including a complete knitwear trouser-suit. The show saw a balanced mix of sophistication and creativity bringing us a collection that inspires a sense of femininity with attitude.
