MODALISBOA DAY 1: ALVES/GONÇALVES A/W 2011

Alves and Gonçalves ended the first day at the ModaLisboa ‘Love’ edition with a strong collection featuring long-length skirts and trousers primarily made from silks in distinct red and blue tones and combined with sleeveless tunics or soft jumpers adorned with transparent and coloured plastic diamonds.

Key pieces of the collection include a folded thick velvet floor-length coat in an antique powdered pink tone along with tunic-style dresses and long-sleeve tops displaying curved stripes of colourful trim and a variety of wide-brim fedora hats in black, yellow and orange.

The collection combines playful detailing in plastic and leather with a sophisticated style which evokes the return of wide-leg trousers and classic elongated silhouettes.
