London based company HEINRUP founded by Swedish designer and Central Saint Martin’s graduate Anna Heinrup is releasing its first collection of men’s and unisex bags in 2011. Supporting local businesses by being 100% Made In London, the products use water resistant, English waxed cotton and tough, Scottish nubuck leather and the label will release only one main collection each year and add items at various times during the seasons.
Careful attention to detail, the collection is designed for a customer keen to invest in an item that will last for a long time and this is achieved through high quality materials and timeless style, balancing a classic silhouette with a modern feel. HEINRUP’s first collection, named ONE, takes inspiration from the Black Box Theory of Conciousness. Playing with the idea of a well kept secret, the bags have a slick, black exterior with minimal detailing, concealing an intriguing interior in signature electric blue. With focus on raw masculinity and pure shapes, HEINRUP aims to make understated design that radiates confidence and independence.
