MINIMAL BAROQUE COLLECTION BY PRADA
Prada launches it’s new eyewear collection “Minimal-Baroque”; an idea that comes from the inspiration of Spring / Summer 2011 and represents a truly creative fil rouge. The collection is available now in Prada stores and other selected outlets.
Minimal-Baroque is not just a collection, it’s primarily a structured project divided into several phases. To start we have the Deluxe sunglasses, with an undeniable Baroque style they pay a homage to color, fun and above all, originality.
To highlight the uniqueness and creativity behind the production of these items, Prada collaborated with three illustrators: Ivo Bisignano, Marcela Gutierrez and Andrea Tarella. Each giving their own interpretations of the Milan and Beijing shows and using their own creative medium and style from watercolour pastels to acrylics.
Curved, decorative and sculpted effects are the main design features of the Minimal-Baroque frames. The color combinations: white / blue, white / black and white / honey, combine the front lines of the frame with the stems, inspired by the Rococo style.
Two more models will be added to this collection during Spring, marking the beginning of the second phase of creativity. They will become available in stores from April and although in line with the originals in terms of design, they will showcase a different creative development becoming more suave and offering a wider range with intense colours.
